"When I decided to give sobriety a try 16 months ago, I had no idea how I would stay sober. I only knew of the ways that most had spoken of when a decision was made it was time to stop, and I was not sure if that route was for me.
Other than that I had no direction, I just knew if I did not drink that meant I was sober. Then one day I decided to do a quick google search, I typed sober mom. This simple search led me to what has now become the best sobriety tool I could have found, The Sober Mom Life. From that point on The Sober Mom Life became my life line, at a time I didn’t even know I needed one.
Hearing Suzanne’s story, and the stories of the women on her podcast helped me feel less alone. The community she created since she made her own decision to quit drinking has not only helped me stay sober, but has also taught me how to find enjoyment in my sobriety. The relationships with the women that I have connected with through SML, go further than the weekly Zoom calls. They are women that I have shared and grown with over the past year. I can confidently say, they have become my friends. Where I am in my sobriety is due to the work I have put in, but part of the joy I have found is from the community The Sober Mom Life has brought into my life. They say community is everything when you become sober, and I am beyond grateful to have found Suzanne and The Sober Mom Life to help guide me to where I am today.
